During the late 19th and early 20th century, the Hidden Blade was still a part of standard Assassin attire and continued to be commonly used in close combat.

When Bayek and his wife Aya formed the Hidden Ones (the group that would eventually become the Assassins) new members voluntarily amputated their own ring fingers as a sign of commitment to fighting corruption.

It's the story of Darius, the first to wield the legendary Hidden Blade, and the one to use it on the preening Persian ruler Xerxes.

While it appears that Assassin's Creed Odyssey does not contain a hidden blade, closer inspection reveals a lore-heavy revelation about the protagonist's weapon.

Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad

Member of the Levantine Brotherhood of Assassins, Altaïr was the first historic Assassin introduced in the original Assassin's Creed game.
